CYTOKINESIS

• After pmat cytokinesis is the last stage where the cells splits into two
• Cytokinesis and telophase occur at around the same time
• At the end of cytokinesis the cell division process begins again

ANIMAL AND PLANT CELL CYTOKINESIS

• Cytokinesis in animal cells act where the membrane squeezes the middle part of the cell (nucleus).
• In plant cells this cannot occur because of the rigid plant cell wall. Instead the cell produces cell plates which gradually creates a cell membrane around the cell wall allowing the the cell to divide.
• After the cell is done the cell wall forms around the membrane once again.
