The student population continued to go up during the 1950s.Central Valley High School was to crowded. With enough space for about 800 students, the new CV High School opened in 1956. The school is located in an open field on Sullivan Road, the school covered 101,489 square feet and the cost was $1.1 million.

Activities/Sports

Softball: Slow pitch softball is a fall sport; fast pitch softball is a spring sport. We work to develop successful softball teams that demonstrate sportsmanship, good work ethic, discipline and teamwork.

Basketball: We work to develop the best basketball team possible. All the Players experience team unity, working in a team situation. Players who strive to be the best they can be, with their basketball skills are welcome to try out the third week in November. The Practice is Monday through Saturday, 2:30 to 5:00 pm or 5:00 to 7:30 pm, November through March.

Yearbook:. The studare in contact with local businesses, which can lead to future employment. Students with a 3.0 in English and interest in writing, photography, layout design, printing, ad sales and interviewing are needed

tolo dance- Vice Dances or Vice-Versa Dances referring to the usual custom of males inviting females. Turnabout "Tolos" It has been suggested that tolo comes from a Chinook Jargon word for to take control.

community service

- community service means-voluntary work to help people in a particular area.

-What does community service provide-. All the graduates of CV High School are required to serve 5 hours of community service each year. This is a graduation requirement u have to do and to be able to pass Advisory Class students need to complete a Community Service form and have to have it signed by the organization he or she is working for.

CV High School believes that being able to give back to the community is very important and they want all students to learn these skills in service Training/ learning.
