The sports bets are math because when you bet on a team or player they calculate the total price given time and date when a team or player was bet on.

This article is about how the taxpayers were scammed by the government workers, businesses and contractors to steal from the taxpayers. We thought this fit into the math section because we just finished our unit of multiplying and dividing decimals which ties into the taxes.

Sudoku is a number placing puzzle based game played on a 9x9 grid with several given numbers.the object of the game is to place the numbers 1 to 9 in the empty squares in each row, each column and each 3x3 Box contains the same number only once. This takes a lot of practice and time.

The Weekly weather forecast is science related because when meteorologists predict what the forecast is going to be they use special instruments and scales that help them measure the wind, clouds and other types of weather that might take a trip through Vancouver.

The new HazMat protocol is for first responders to help civilians in the moments after mass-casual chemical, biological, or radiological incidents. The protocol is for fire or police personnel to help keep civilians from panicking and/or fleeing the scene thus possibly spreading the chemical. Personnel will now have kits to help de-contaminate civilians before HazMat teams arrive.

It's high time for a true scientific debate to replace the overwhelming political stands.

A group of students from Dr. Charles Best Secondary social justice students in Coquitlam are back at it. This time for the cause of trophy hunting the Grizzly bear. The grade 12 students have organized a protest in front of the Vancouver Art Gallery over trophy hunting the bear. Students are saying the protest is aimed at stopping the inhumane treatment of the wild grizzly bear population of BC.

Haitians paused last Sunday to remember the thousands of peoples that died in the devastating earthquake in 2010. Haitians stopped by at a memorial to place flowers and never forget those who died during that devasting day.
