PRESENTATION OUTLINE
Define culture using a definitive definition.- The arts and other manifestations of human intellectual achievement regarded collectively.
• What is culture in your own words?- The activities and characteristics of a group of people.
What goes into and makes up a culture?- Language, art, beliefs, style, behavior.
• What are examples of enduring questions and conflicts that cultures have struggled with in the past that remain relevant today?- Equality between genders. Basically everywhere equalities of gender are unequal. Job opportunities, income, and respect are still unequal today.
List 4 physical characteristics the culture you selected exhibits.- Dark hair, dark eyes, olive skin, and high cheekbones.
• Find 4 customs and/or beliefs of the cultural that are followed or practiced.- Once you become to know someone well, air-kissing on both cheeks, starting with the left is often added as well as a pat on the back between men.

Your style is a huge part in how people judge you
Wrapping gifts in black or purple is considered bad.
Describe one of the challenges that the selected culture faces.- Italy faces challenges in their businesses due to all the conflicts in their political system.
• What influences a writer/composer to create a literary text?- They usually base it off past experiences or they see something and it gives them an idea.
• How is literature like (or unlike) life?- Literature is like life because literature is usually based off life and what happens in our lives.
• How does literature reveal the values of an individual culture?- It shows what they value and what they don't value.
• How is our understanding of culture and society constructed through and by literature?- Literature reveals our past. Knowing our past helps create who we are now and will be in the future. It gives us an idea of what our culture is.

•To what extent are there universal literary themes, ideas, and issues of interest or concern to all cultures and societies?- Everything we know is our culture or at least related to our culture. This means that the universal themes, idea, and etc are from our culture.
• What are some methods or strategies for promoting cultural awareness and acceptance?- You should make a blog, video, or posters around your area pointing out why it isn't wrong and why it's good.
• What are some statements that affirm the need for cultural acceptance?- The voices of cultures need to be heard so that they can accepted.
• What is at stake if society chooses to discriminate against other cultures?- Those other cultures will leave or disappear and that society will eventually seek everyone to be the same and no have any uniqueness.
