Cuban Ropa Veja ingredients: 1 tablespoon vegetable, 2 pounds beef flank steak, 1 cup beef broth, 1(8 ounce ) can tomato sauce, 1 small onion sliced, 1green bell pepper seeded and sliced strips,2 cloves garlic chopped, 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste, 1 teaspoon olive oil, 1tablespoon white vinegar

Cubans do not eat beef

Pacific cuban black beans and rice ingredients: 4 cups water, 2 cups rice, 3 tablespoons olive oil, 1 onion chopped,1 bell pepper chopped,2 carrots peeled and chopped, 2 ribs celery chopped, 1tablespoon minced garlic, 2(15 ounce) can black beans,2 smoked Spanish chorizo sausage links coarsely chopped, 1cup chicken, 1(8 ounce) jar picante sauce, 2 bay leaves, 2 teaspoons red wine or more to taste, 1 teaspoon salt or to taste, 1/2 teaspoon ground black or to taste, 1 pinch red pepper flakes

Cuban water bread ingredients: 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast, 2 cups warm warm water (110 degrees f/45 degrees c ), 1 tablespoon white sugar, 1tablespoon salt, 8 cups all purpose flour, 1 tablespoon cornmeal, go 1 tablespoon sesame seeds, 2 tablespoon cold water

Cuban green soup ingredients: 2 ounces salt pork diced, 1 large onion chopped, 5 ( 15 ounce) cans navy beans with juice,2 (10ounce)packages frozen turnip greens with turnip pieces
