HOW TO PLAY CRICKET

YOU WILL NEED

  • 24 people
  • A field
  • Cricket ball and bat
  • 2 wickets, 6 stumps

GATHER PEOPLE

  • Divide players into 2 teams
  • 11 players on each team
  • + 2 umpires
  • Oval shaped field called "pitch"

EQUIPMENT

  • Bat, ball, 6 stumps, 4 bails
  • A wicket is 3 stumps and 2 bails
  • Wickets on either side of pitch

SET UP FIELD

  • Fielding team, batting team
  • One bowler from FT
  • One wicket keeper from FT
  • FT spreads out around pitch

SET UP THE BATTERS

  • 2 batters from the BT
  • Striker attempts to hitt the ball
  • Non striker waits to run
  • Once the ball is hit...
  • The 2 players try to switch places

  • Fielder catches the pop fly
  • Bowler hits the stump
  • Fielder hits the stump when...
  • the batter is going for a run
  • Batter hits his own stump

KNOW THE OUTS 2

  • Batter drops the bat
  • Batter interferes with ball
  • Batter runs into stumps
