CREATE MY OWN GAME

Stage 1
I used 'when' block and 'say' block to make when i click it, it says "hello".

Stage 2
I used 'when' blocks and 'move' blocks to control the character.

Stage 3
I used 'repeat forever' block to make the dinosaur bothers the penguin.

Stage 4
I used 'when' block when the penguin toushes dinosaur, to play hit sound and to makethe penguin says "Ouch!".

Stage 5
I used 'when' block to make when the peguin touches the octopus, shiws the score point.

Stage 6
I used 'set' blocks to change the background image and the actor 1 (penguin)'s speed.

STAGE 7

  • I used 'set' blocks to set the background, images of characters, positions of characters and the speeds of characters. I set the actor 1 (dad squirrel) an angry mood, middle left position and normal speed. I set actor 2 ( the wizard) a normal mood, middle center position and very fast speed because it bothers the actor 1 go to the actor 3 (baby squirrel). I set actor 3(baby squirrel) a sad mood and middle right position. I used 'when' blocks to control the actor 1's movements, score point or remove point.

STAGE 7

  • When eI click the up arrow, the actor 1 moves to upside (down arrow is downside, left arrow is leftside and right arrow is rightside). When actor 1 touches actor 3, it gets score and when it touches actor 2, it loses score. I used 'repeat forever' block to make the actor 2 (wizard) bothers the actor 1(dad squirrel) gets to the actor 3(baby squirrel/score).

WHAT DID I LEARN?

  • I learned how to create my own game use programming words. I could make the characters speak to use 'say' blocks, change the background mages and characters' image, speed and feeling. Also I could control the characters's movement use 'when' blocks and 'move' blocks.

WHAT PROGRAMMING TECHNIQUE USED?

  • I used dragging, clicking and typing. I dragged the blocks to set the characters' movement or feelings. I clicked the arrows to control the characters' movements. Also I typed some words that characters said.

  • MATH We need math to calculate the pixels how the characters move. ART We need art to set the background images, characters image and mood of characters in the game. ENGLISH We need English to make the characters talk and if we make the characters talk, it makes the game funnier.
