What animal has 9 different howls?
That's right. A coyote has 9 different distinct howls!

Animal Description
The coyote is a very intelligent animal who is a member or the dog family (canidae).
The coyote is about half the size of a wolf with yellowish outer ears, legs, and feet, but gray and white on their underparts.
The coyotes Shoulders back and tail may be tinged a bit black
The coyotes body length ranges from 28-38 inches and stands 24 inches tall.
The coyote can weigh anywhere from 20-50 pounds depending on their food supply.

ANIMAL HABITAT
The coyote doesn't really have a natural habitat.
Coyotes habitat ranges from Alaska all the way down to Central America.
Coyotes are mostly spotted in Phoenix, Arizona on mountains.

ANIMAL ADAPTATIONS
Coyotes can thrive in any habitat.
The coyotes can grow their fur coat or shed it as they please.
The coyotes diet includes pronghorn and deer as well as mountain sheep, snakes, livestock, and most often jackrabbits.
The coyote usually announces its whereabouts of an individual to its neighbors by a nighttime howl.

In order to not get detected by predators, sometimes coyotes walk on their toes to make as little noise as possible.
