Fine Artist

  • Use techniques such as knitting, weaving, glass blowing, painting, drawing or sculpting.
  • Use visual elements, such as composition, color, space, and perspective, to produce desired artistic effects.
  • The average annual salary for a Fine Artist is $53,200.

DEGREE & MAJOR

  • To be a fine artist you have to get a Bachelor's degree.
  • You have to major in Fine Arts.
  • You would have to be in college for 4 years.

COLLEGES

  • The community college that I'd attend is Collin County, it's located in Plano, Tx
  • The university that I'd attend is UNT and it's located in Denton, Tx

REASONS FOR CHOOSING COLLIN COLLEGE

  • It's close to The Colony and I could still live at home.
  • The requirements for admission is to complete the application for admission, and you need to provide proof of vaccination.

REASONS FOR CHOOSING UNT

  • They have a clarinet scholarship
  • It has a bigger variety of fine arts projects
  • Rank in the top 10% of your high school class and submit SAT or ACT scores.

COST FOR 1 SEMESTER AT COLLIN COLLEGE

  • The cost for one semester is $1,172
  • The cost for one year is $3,594

COST FOR ONE SEMESTER AT UNT

  • The cost for one semester is $4,865
  • For one year the cost would be $21,880

TOTAL COST

  • The total cost for college would be $50,948
  • You would need to go to college for 4 years.

COLLEGE SAVINGS PLAN

  • To pay for 100% of college costs I would need to save $1,140 a month of the $109,072 projected cost.
  • To save that much I'd need to save up birthday money or get a job.

FINANCIAL AID

  • I could apply for the Hispanic and Latino students scholarships.
