Why did you choose this college?

I chose this college since my older sister went to/ graduated from UNT. It also seemed to be more affordable compared to other schools (Baylor, ect.).

Are you surprised by the cost of the college? Explain why.

Yes, because I didn't think something that's basically needed to survive (education) would be so expensive. Instead, I think it should be a bit more affordable for unemployed families.

Saving up for College

(Part 2)

I need $12,142 per semester

For a total of $108,956.88 for 4 years

I would:

  • Be attending a collage that currently costs 17,239 anually
  • Has 5 years until college
  • Will be attending college for 4 years

I also:

  • Wish to save enough to cover %100 of the cost ($135,317)
  • Have no money in a savings account
  • Wish to make monthly contributions, expects college costs to increase by %4 each year
  • Expects to earn %6 after-tax each year in my college savings plan

If my goal is to cover %100 of the $135,317 projected cost of college, I would need to start making monthly contributions of $1,414 to meet the goal.

What else could I do to help pay for college?

  • Earn Scholarships
  • Create a savings plan
  • Start saving now
  • Get a job when possible
