FACTS

  • Coral reefs are in the middle of the ocean.
  • The ocean water is warm, shallow and clear.
  • A coral reef is made of huge groups of rocks.

Moray Eeel
They live in a cave.
They look like snakes.
They are very fast.
They have sharp teeth.

Sea Dragon
They can hide from their enemies with camouflage.
It's fins make it look like a piece of seaweed.

GIANT CLAM

THE CLAM CAN LIVE FOR 100 YEARS WHEN IT SETTLES IN THE REEF.

VOCABULARY

  • Cave- a hole where dark creatures live
  • Camouflage- blend in so no one can see you.
  • Settle- you stay where you are.
  • Group- a number of things that are close together.
  • Sharp- something that is pointy and it hurts.
  • Seaweed- large algae growing in the sea.
