Using things in classrooms and lessons
Look for a "C" within a circle, which denotes a copyright
If you see TWO Cs within a circle, that signifies that its free to use, and is coming from "Creative Commons"

It's copyrighted, so...
The best thing to do is contact the owner, asking permission
If they give it, GREAT! Use it!
No dice? Sorry, Charlie...make your own, or look elsewhere...
6.

7.
Fair Use
AFTER your attempt to contact the creator fails, see if it qualifies...
1. Did you transform the original?
2. Is it factual, creative, or consumable?
3. Did you only use the amount necessary?
4. Are you taking someone's profits?
8.
