A factor that you change or control in an experiment.
It is known as the "I change" variable

DEPENDENT VARIABLE
A factor that has changed; the factor being measured.
Also what is being measured in the experiment.

CONSTANT
all variables in an experiment that stays the same that could affect the outcome of the experiment.
The constant is the variable that stays the same throughtout the entire experiment.
4.
CONTROL
a factor that remains the same in an experiment; used to compare with the changed variable standardized part
The control is the part of the experiment that does not change and it is compared to the changed variable.
