INDEPENDENT VARIABLE

  • A factor that you change or control in an experiment.
  • It is known as the "I change" variable

DEPENDENT VARIABLE

  • A factor that has changed; the factor being measured.
  • Also what is being measured in the experiment.

CONSTANT

  • all variables in an experiment that stays the same that could affect the outcome of the experiment.
  • The constant is the variable that stays the same throughtout the entire experiment.

CONTROL

  • a factor that remains the same in an experiment; used to compare with the changed variable standardized part
  • The control is the part of the experiment that does not change and it is compared to the changed variable.
