Early Years

He was born on January 15th 1929 in Atlanta Georgia

Young Life

He grew up in a constructive and supportive home with a Christian upbringing.

Teenage Years

He went through losses in his family and was very depressed. At one point, he tried to commit suicide by jumping off a 2 story building.

Early Adult

While in college, he got his sociology degree and met Coretta Scott. They had 4 children together.

New Beginnings

He moved to Montgomery and became a preacher in a local church. He led some important movements in Montgomery.

I Have a Dream

In 1963, he gave the "I Have a Dream" speech where he talked about the world if it was desegregated.

DEATH

He was assassinated in 1968 in Memphis Tennessee while on his hotel balcony.
