ROTATION - a transformation that rotates a figure around a fixed point for a given angle and a given direction.

TRANSLATION - a transformation that slides each point of a figure the same distance and direction.

REFLECTION - a transformation that flips a figure over a reflection line.

DILATION - transformations that produce images that are the same shape as the original image but are not the same size. A dilation can be an enlargement (getting bigger) or a reduction (getting smaller)

Scale factor/ Dilation factor - the ratio of the distance of the image from the center of dilation to the distance of the original figure from the center of dilation.
