SELFIES WITH A POP

THE ASSIGNMENT

You will use a selfie (can have other people/animals but must have YOU in it) and draw it using charcoal and a POP of color (chalk, colored pencils, oil pastels). This will be 18 by 24.

THINGS TO THINK ABOUT

• Snapchat will work-- make sure I can tell it's you
• What are you going to make color?

PROCEDURE

• Choose picture. Send picture--needs to be 8 by 6. Send one black and white and one color. Feel free to edit photo.
• Practice with charcoal. See notes packet.
• Grid final paper-- use pre made grids on photos.
• Draw light sketch. Think about adding value areas.
• Use charcoal and add color with chosen media.
