What is a Geohazard?

A geological state which has the potential to create a widespread damage.Typical geohazards include tectonic issues.

HERE ARE SOME EXAMPLES:

  • Tsunamis
  • Earthquakes
  • Mudslides
  • Avalanche
  • Land slides

What is a Tsunami?
A long high sea wave that is caused by earthquakes, submarines, landslides, or other disturbance.

Facts:
1.Thailand is located in the South-Eastern Asia bordering the Andaman Sea and Gulf of Thailand
2.The capital of Thailand is Bangkok
3.Thailand official language is Thai
4.Many people live in modern homes. Traditional homes are made out of wood

Tsunami In Thailand
A tsunami hit Thailand in the year of 2004 on December 26.
This tsunami happened early in the morning.
Areas that were hit was Phang Nga, Phuket and Krabi

Deaths and Destruction
Approximately 228,000 to 230,000 people died and missing
The message that the tsunami was coming was fax to 16 machines, 8 hotlines, hundreds of radios, and many television stations.

The safest place to set up a temporary emergency housing:
The worst place to be during a tsunami is low level places.
The highest mountain in Thailand which is Bai yoa 2 is the possible safest place.

Instruments used to measure tsunamis include deep ocean detection buoys and tide gauges.

Deep Ocean detection buoys are created to confirm the existence of tsunami waves underwater.

Generate a star chart that could be used for nighttime navigation.
First, you have to find the appropriate time for it. One benefit could be that using a star chart it could be some type of tool and a device plus you could show others.
