DESIGNING A SOLUTION

• At first, our index card design consisted of two cards folded at the edges standing next to each other with one card on top of that and one card inside the two folded cards for a back.

BUILDING A PROTOTYPE

• Our first prototype was our index card design in cardboard.
• It was unsuccessful, and only held 4 books.

TROUBLESHOOT AND REDESIGN

• When our first design didn't work we had to come up with a new one.
• Our new design was a triangular folded piece of cardboard on its side cut in thin lines at both edges and tied together. A cut down piece of cardboard on top for the seat and a long thin piece of cardboard inside of the triangle for a back.

TROUBLESHOOT AND REDESIGN AGAIN!

• Our second design didn't work.
• Our third design is a triangular folded piece of cardboard cut on both ends to fit like a puzzle. Our seat is a cut down piece of cardboard. Our back is a long thin strip of cardboard inside the triangular piece of cardboard.

FINAL DESIGN

• Our third design worked and held up eleven books.
