• Those were the roots of testosterone related drugs
• It was really discovered from the 1950's-1980's mostly during war
• Armies including the Germans and Soviets, had soldiers take enhancing pills
• These supplements increased the power and strength of the soldiers

• They have traits of testosterone becuase they both increase protein within cells
• The main increase of protein from steroids are muscle cells ,creating strength
• Steroids are synthetically made substances

• Can be taken intravenously by liquid supplements being injected
• Orally cosumed steroids are easier to purchase and find

EFFECTS OF STEROIDS

• Steroids can cause intense anger at people and irritability in the brain.
• Withdrawal symptoms include weakness, fatigue, weight loss, appetite loss, and vomiting
• Gynecomastia (development of female breasts) can form in men.
• There are many different signs of steroid usage.
• Some include acne or stress marks, big gut or distemded stomach, hair loss, and muscle gain

• Steroids are physically and mentally addictive depending on the person
• After many doses, your brain feels a need for the drug
• Your body might also need the drug after so many doses
• If your body is addicted, not taking the drug can be critical to your body and health

• Over 1,084,000 American adults have used steroids
• Steroids can affect communities by it being sold in them or the use of it is high
• The use of steroids is mainly in white, african american, or hispanic males
• The age group tends to be from around 20 to 40 years old

• Can be given by a doctor as prescription medicine
