The official capital of Chile is Santiago.Its name is officially The Republic of Chile.The current population is 17,508,260 this was last recorded July,2015.
The current leader is Michelle Bacelet.The current type of government is republic.Chile's flag is above,red stands for the blood shed by national heroes.Blue stands for Chile's clear blue sky's.The star honors pride,and white for the top of the Andres mountains.
IN SEPTEMBER 18TH IN 1810 THEY DECLARED THERE INDEPENDENCE FROM SPAIN THEY FOUGHT IN A BLOODY WAR FOR A DECADE AND EVENTUALLY SPAIN LOST CONTROL OVER CHILE IN 1826 IN SEPTEMBER.
The current exchange rate for Chilean Pesos to one dollar is 1.00 $ = 689.09
IF you are ever in Chile here are some awesome activities, are that they have large penguin Colony of 12,000. there are a couple active volcanos that you Can visit. Or you could visit Easter Island.There is a large mountain called Can Son Crisobal.It includes a park and a church.There is also a very Beautiful colorful town called Valpairson.
Chile is located on the South American coast.Some Geographical elements of Chile are there are over 1 dozen active volcanos in chile,and there are deserts in the north,and damp climate in the south,they have low coastal mountains,they have very long north and south in latitude,and legally Easter island is part of Chile.
Recently in chile a earthquake triggered a tsunami that hit on the 18th September 2015,10 people died.
