PRESENTATION OUTLINE
Here is a project on sleep
Sleep is a thing because it just kind of is. No one knows when or why humans and other organisms started sleeping, but that's okay.
Why is sleep important? :0
Sleep plays an important role in one's physical health, as it is involved in repairing tissue and decreased risk of disease.
Sleep also proves to be beneficial to mental health. For example, sleep has been proven to act as a 'down time' for the brain, allowing it to release the day's stress.
Fun fact, the average three-year-old needs about nine to twelve hours of sleep. Rad.
To add to that, the average thirteen-year-old human needs eight and a half to nine and a half hours.
From ages eighteen to sixty-four, seven to nine hours of sleep are required.
Without the interference of health problems, the average able-bodied and healthy human at the age of seventy-five should get about 7-9 hours of sleep.
What About Daytime Sleep?
Depending on the type of napper you are - naps can be benefical! It's just different for everyone! But usually, naps have been shown to decrease sleepiness in some people.
