FACTS

• There is not a cure but there are effective treatments such as, therapy, rehab, medications
• No, they do not take large amounts of meds
• They are just as dangerous as everyone else. People with schizophrenia prefer to be left alone and are often victims of violent crimes.
• Most do not know they are diagnosed. Usually takes months and even years to find out.

People with schizophrenia are often misunderstood. It is time to stop with the name calling and other insults and accept them for how they are. Not everything you hear about them is true...
