The genres that started in this time period were disco,funk,smooth,jazz fusion, & soul. Most genres of ,music didn't survive after 10 years.

Yes,music did influence new dance. One of the dances were the disco movement . Some disco songs were created: I will survive, jive talkin, staying alive, YMCA , and the macho man .

Fashion-
Women would wear what they wanted during this time. Men had more experience to like fashion. Most had more formal ways of dressing in suits.

Mortality-
Feminism changed in the 1970s as well as Christian Right , health, disease , and swine flu.

Popular culture ,education from schools, and politics make more ways to make money.

Economy - oil petroleum known as renewable resources to help the future . The high documents of supplies effected the economy greatly . Unemployment also reduced ,therefore many people lost there jobs.

Social issues -women,African Americans , native Americans , gays, lesbians were fighting for equality . Situations were becoming out of control since so many Americans were joining. However, this was solved during the 1970s.

Inventions/inventors- Art Fry created the post-it note . His journey all started off with a need for a bookmark. In the making he also made sure it stuck very well and didn't leave residue .

Art Fry Lifestyle- before his huge creation of the post -it note he was an engineer w/the making of childhood ,fashioning, & scrap lumber . He has a wife & 3 children with the process of 5 grandchildren.

Post -it note accomplished-
The amount of money to sale this product wasn't much especially since it was a paper adhesive product. This product was denied in the masses because of postage privileges. Most post offices couldn't sell because of disclaimed exports.

Rollerblades-
Scott Olson is the inventor of rollerblades. Rollerblades were influential back then with instead of walking around you could dance around while rolling. The price of rollerblades didn't sell for much it was a huge benefit in the past & especially in for our future.

Science

  • Science- The folks at NASA( national aeronautics and space administration.) influenced science with the voyager program. This program allowed us in earth to send voyager 1 and 2 unnamed expeditions to the outer planets to discover more.

Social Change

  • Social change- Americans influenced the social change in the 1970's by joining the cause for equality. African Americans, native Americans, gays, and lesbians were in the fight for equality.

Effect on peace in the nation and possibly the world

  • Effect on peace in the nation and possibly the world- In the 70's New York was going through a very rough time with money. New York didn't have enough money to pay for state taxes or to pay workers.

Economic change-

  • Economic change- during the 70's the Vietnam war has ended and the economy is hurting. An energy shortage is occurring because of a worldwide oil shortage. Nations around the world started to conserve their non-renewable oil supplies in hopes to have some still available in the near future.

Industry

  • Industry- The 1970’s were a time of industrial unrest. Clydeside workers staged a protest, the ‘Work in’ in 1971. Trade unions campaigned for a 35 hour week. There were power cuts and in 1979 we had what was known as the winter of discontent..Old industries continued to decline. However, it was during this decade that oil was discovered in the North Sea, giving a much needed boost to the Scottish economy. Industrial Relations reached an all time low in the 1970s
