THE CINQUAIN - DOGS

  • Dogs
  • Cute, messy
  • Hyper, playful, jumpy
  • They can be annoying

  • Blinky, blinky little light,
  • How I stare at you at night,

LIMERICK - THE CAT AND DOG

  • There once was a cat and dog,

  • As I shoot off to space,
  • My husband paced,
  • And my daughter cried with sadness,
  • We landed on the moon,
  • Thought too soon,
  • And saw a flying monkey,
  • He laid an egg,

  • And sat there as he died,

RHYMING POEM - HOMEWORK

  • "Due tomorrow!" the teacher says,
  • "Oh don't worry, it'll be a whizz!"
  • Then we groaned and left the class,
  • We had to get it done to pass!
  • As I walk on home,
  • I heard a ring come from my phone,
  • My friend said, "hey come over for a bit!"
  • But I said, "Can't, I have to admit,"
  • "My teacher is mean and won't let us have fun!"
  • But face it, I'm not the only one!

A RECIPE FOR DISASTER

  • A bowl full of trouble,
  • A dash of danger,
  • 2 cups of chaos,
  • 3 cups of anger,
  • Mix it well, add a frown,
  • Throw it in a pan,
  • Toss it in the oven,
  • Bake at 400 until it browns.

  • When I cut my hair,
  • It went flying everywhere,
  • When I left,
  • I got in the car,
  • Home seemed so far,
  • When we arrived,
  • I went to bed,
  • But suddenly whacked my head,
  • I opened my eyes,
  • And my cat was on top of me,
  • I screamed, "Just leave me be!"

  • If the world could be how I want,
  • There would be candy and gummy bears,
  • No hatred, just fun!

  • My favourite animals just wandering around,
  • My pets, previous pets, loved ones,
  • Back on earth, to live once again,
  • All animals are are, or once were,
  • My dream world would be perfect.

  • Inside the forest,
  • There are glorious creatures,
  • People destroy them,
  • Pollution kills animals,
  • But they repopulate.

  • Food is delicious,
  • Everyone must eat to live,
  • Food is everywhere.

  • When the waters warm,
  • And the fish are jumping,
  • That's when it's spring.

LIMERICK - LARRY

  • There once was a man named Larry,
  • Who though he was very hairy,
  • But when he checked,
  • He saw only a spect,
  • And cried as he ate a berry.

  • Cats
  • Fluffy, cute
  • Playful, cuddly, sleepy,
  • Hyper, running, barking,
  • Funny, cute,
  • Dogs.
