The Third Choice: Keeping the Baby

If the teen keeps the baby, they will discover how much of a gratifying experience being a parent is.

Sometimes a teen mom will keep her baby to make the dad stay.

This doesn't always work out, though. In fact, eight out of ten teen fathers don’t marry the teenage mother of their child.

If a teen keeps her baby, she will have to support the baby financially, and by doing this, will have to find a way of income.

Socially, the teen would be distanced from other friends because of the lack of time for anything but the teen's baby.

In some cases, the parents of the pregnant teen will become the legal guardian of the baby.
