VALLEY

  • A valley is a low area between hills, often with a river running through it.
  • An example of a valley in the world is clachaqui valley in Argentina

  • A plain is a large flat area with a few trees
  • An example of a plain in the world is is Curry County,eastern New Mexico on the North AmericanGreat Plains

REEF

  • A reef is a rock, sandbar, orother feature lying beneath the surface of the water( 80 meters or less beneath the water )
  • An example of a reef in the world is Pamailcan island with surrounding reef, sulu sea,Philippines

PLATEAU

  • A high plain or tableland, is an area of highland, usually consisting of relatively flat terrain.
  • A example of a plateau in the world is, island in the sky, canyonlands national park.

ISLAND

  • A piece of land surrounded by water.
  • A example of a island in the world is the islands of Fernando de Noronha.

RIVER

  • A river is a natural watercourse, usually freshwater, flowing towards an ocean, a lake, a sea, or another river.
  • A example of a river in the world is the Kansas river.

LAKE

  • A lake is an area, (prototypically filled with water) of variable size
  • A Example of a lake in the world is lake of Vesoul in France.

MOUNTAIN

  • A mountain is a large landform that stretches above the surrounding land.
  • An example of a mountain i the world is Mount Everest its the highest peak.

STRAIT

  • A narrow passage of water connecting two seas or two large areas of water
  • A example of a strait in the world is Akashi Strait - Japan

PENINSULA

  • a piece of land almost surrounded by water or projecting out into a body of water.
  • The Baja California Peninsula, Mexico is a example of a peninsula in the world

ISTHMUS

  • An isthmus is a narrow strip of land connecting two larger land areas.
  • The sandy isthmus or tombolo connecting North and South Bruny Island in Tasmania, Australia

ARCHIPELAGO

  • a sea or stretch of water containing many islands.
  • The archipelago of Fernando de Noronha in Brazil.

CANYON

  • A canyon or gorge is a deep ravine between pairs of escarpments or cliffs
  • Sapadere Canyon, Antalya, Turkey.

DELTA

  • A river delta is a landform that forms at the mouth of a river where the river flows into a ocean
  • The Ebre River delta at the Mediterranean Sea is a example of a delta

GULF

  • Gulf, a large bay that is an arm of an ocean or sea
  • Gulf of Saint Lawrence, in Eastern Canada and is the outlet of the North American Great Lakes
