Slide Notes

Ok so I'm going to be using this Haiku Deck presentation as my brief intro to the day and to introduce you to an initial task and ice breaker. Later we'll also explore the benefits of this particular tool within the theme of creating and using more audio visual presentations and self access resources.

Ok so I'm going to be using this Haiku Deck presentation as my brief intro to the day and to introduce you to an initial task and ice breaker. Later we'll also explore the benefits of this particular tool within the theme of creating and using more audio visual presentations and self access resources.

I could have chosen a cuter picture!

But more of that later...
This is just a simple example of choosing and using different images to suit the message and style of presentation - to be discussed later.

We previously looked at:

COLLABORATIVE LEARNING & MOBILE LEARNING
In September and on Tuesday this week we looked at Collaborative Learning and Mobile Learning...

We looked at a wide range of Tools...

more than the tools shown here...
We looked at a wide range of tools and more than those listed here in this Wordle generated image. Some colleagues were also already using different tools.

& the application and benefits of those tools...

including a brief look at SAMR and flipped learning etc
This Wordle images is actually created using your responses to http://textwall.co.uk so reflects your ideas as well as examples of how you were already integrating collaborative learning and mobile learning.

So what's happened since?

and what do you most want to learn/achieve today?
So was that previous training useful? What have you done since? Also what are you looking to learn/achieve today?

Good & Bad

Today I have...
This is a jokey point to say that I have good news and bad news about what we are going to look at today...

a fair bit of new stuff...

but less overview and more doing!
The good news: We will look at a range of new stuff e.g. tools and their application to T&L that we didn't cover previously.

The bad news: this will be less of an overview from me and more of a day where you do most of the work! ;-)

Say what you see?

You'll recall I used a visual to represent Ice Breaker previously? This time the image I've selected here is to represent an "in at the deep end ice breaker and task!"

Your first task of the day:

  • Visit (short url to a Google doc removed)
  • Note: the above link is case sensitive
  • Edit and populate your slide
  • Work in pairs to take photos of each other
  • Help each other to upload the photos
The link here is to a Google Presentation that has a slide for each person attending the session. Your task is to populate your particular slide with your own details including a photo and also a summary of what you have done since we last met.
