  • South: tobacco, rice, corn, wheat, indigo, cotton, and textiles miles.  

Describe the economic growth of the

U.S during the civil war?

In the north, the economy was stronger by having mills making artillery, and, supplies for the war.

In the south, men and slaves, were forced to to fight in war. Leaving the women to do the mens work, and the economy went down.
