- in the 1960's, NFL teams began to have cheer squads .
- in the USA, about 80% of schools have cheer squads
- in the 1920's, UMN started to have cheer squads .
Cheer Stunt Positions🎀👟
- Flyer ; the flyer is the girl in the air, she's typically the smallest & most flexible of the group.
- Backspot ; the backspot is the girl that holds the ankles while in a stunt, she's usually the tallest of the group.
-Bases ; the bases are the foundation of the stunts. They hold the most weight of the flyer.
