Braille is a way blind people can read . There are a group of dots arranged in a special pattern. There is a different pattern for each letter in the alphabet. The children feel the pattern of dots and can tell what the word says.
Louis Braille was blinded at the age of three. Based on his experiences he invented the braille system in 1824 while still being a student in the National Institute For The Blind. Today some braille is produced by machines, which engrave the dots into books or other reading materials.
