  • The Arapahos are a tribe of Native Americans Historically living on The plains of Colorado and Wyoming.
  • The Arapaho tribes origanl population was around 10,861.

Housing

  • The Arapaho tribe did not stay in one place they moved where the buffalo went so they made teepes.
  • these teepes were made to be taken down and put back up easily.
  • there teepes were made out of buffalo skin,deer skin,and rabbit skin.

Food

  • The meats that the Arapaho Indians ate consisted of buffalo,deer,rabbit,elk,fish,and turkeys.
  • The vegetables that the Arapaho Indians ate were corn,beans,squash,rice,and pumpkins.
  • The fruits that the Arapaho Indians ate were apples,strawberries,blackberries,and blueberries.

Clothing

  • Arapahos clothing were made out of buffalo,elk,and rabbit.
  • The Arapaho Indians wore a shirt,pants,and mocasins if they were male.
  • The Arapaho Indian Women wore a skirt And moccasins.
  • In the winter both male/female wore pants and a heavy coat made out of fox or wolf hides.
