Born on September 5, 1867 in Henniker, New Hamphser. When she was only one she learned to sing accurate songs on pitch. Then by age six her mother, Clara Imogene Marcy Cheney, taught her how to play the piano. Her mother didn't force her to play the piano but encouraged her. Her mother was a musician, singer, and pianist.

Beach's musical debut was in the Boston Symphony Orchestra in 1885, she was only 16 at the time. At age 18 she married Henry Harris Aubrey Beach. The difference between ages was 25 years, Henry was 43.

Henry Harris Aubrey Beach died in 1910. After his death, she decided to restore her career with music again, and around this time is when she gained a lot of success. After Henry's mom died in 1911, one year later, she decided to travel to Europe.

Also she was famous as a piano virtuoso. And she was one of the leading composers in New England School. She was a very famous woman American composer.

She died on December 27,1944 in New York City. She was called the first major American composer.
