CONVECTION

  • is the movement of groups of molecules within fluids.
  • Convection can be natural, forced, gravitational, granular, or thermomagnetic.

CONDUCTION

  • the passage of energy, particularly heat or electricity, through something
  • Conduction is the transfer of heat from one molecule to another through a substance. .

RADIATION

  • energy emitted from a source in the form of rays or waves, e.g. heat, light, or sound
  • the emission of energy in the form of rays or waves

HEAT

  • the perceptible or measurable degree of hotness

HEAT TRANSFER

  • heat moves from one body or substance to another by radiation
