Graph of consumerism

He-y, Come on Ou-t

  • HE-Y, COME ON OU-T relates to consumerism because it shows what people are consuming, like the nuclear waste, they consume it and throw it out.
  • Consumerism also relates to the story because of the dead animal bodies, which they consumed to see their harmful effects on living things.

Consumerism

  • I believe that in the future, people will become to dependant on consumerism and when people cannot get what they want they will be frustrated or angry.
  • I also believe that as peoples debt increases, and those already in debt buy more items, that will increase it even more.
  • When people can't buy what they want they get angry.

Today Vs. Future

  • Today, people are consuming at a rate where natural resources don't have the time to reproduce.
  • Yet we do have a lot of these natural recourses so a lot of people do not see the problem.
  • In the future, I believe that these natural recourses will be close to depleting, and it will be to late before they realize they need to stop.

Society: Now Vs. Future

  • Today, you may be surprised that people will literally run each other over just to get those discounted speakers or TV's.
  • Right now people are using recourses faster than they can reproduce
  • So what happens if they cant buy anything anymore? People may try to kill each other just to get a TV.
