Made from fragments of rock cemented together by a mineral like Calcite or Quartz

Coarse Grained:
Mixture of large and smaller pieces of rock. You are able to see many individual rocks without any microscope or lens.

USES

Conglomerate can be crushed to make a fine aggregate. It can also be used for ornamental stone.

FUN FACT

Conglomerate is usually found near a beach because it forms there. It forms where strong waves can mix rocks and sand together.
