CONCENTRATION CAMPS

  • Concentration camps are where the nazis kept the captives.
  • They were fenced off from the world outside.
  • Imprisoned with-out trial and were given no date of their release.
  • Jews were treated poorly and harshly punished for nothing.

  • These camps were set up in 1941.
  • Died from starvation
  • Died from diseases
  • Died from exhaustion

  • No food
  • No clean water
  • We're cramped together
  • Diseases were spread
  • No medicines to cure them

THE DIFFERENCE IN GHETTOS VS. CONCENTRATION CAMPS

  • Ghettos were towns walled off from the rest of the town.
  • In ghettos it was very crowded but families were allowed to be together.
  • In concentration camps, families were split up.
  • There were regular roll calls so guards could be sure everyone was there.
  • Ghettos were better than concentration camps.

LIFE BEFORE INVASIONS

  • Before invasions Jews had a life.
  • Jews also owned businesses.
  • Some Jews owned most of the banks in Europe.
  • Jews were middle class and was very populated.
  • Jews were VERY wealthy.
