THE hoLOCAUST

  • Concentration camps were located in occupied parts of Europe.
  • Prisoners in all camps were literally worked to death
  • Jews were forced to work in harsh conditions

  • The camps were originally used for trade unionist, and communist.

  • A lot of labor camps were made as a reaction to the war and Germans needed workers.
  • In 1944, the camps were dismantled and evacuated before the Allies could advance.

  • Death Marches either led the Jews to different camps or they died during the march.
  • A total of 6,258,673 Jews worked 10-12 hours a day.
  • They received little or no pay.
