  • speak to the interns on the ground level
  • past internship seats may provide information on former high demand skills

  • any and all internship job descriptions

why?

  • job descriptions change based on the needs of the employer
  • many job descriptions include the bullet points"Other duties as assigned..."
  • students with internships seats focused outside of the CA skills will not be practiced

The research part II

  • Many seats are having students use excel or SQL
  • no student form our current interns are using heavy excel and sql
  • new seats at expedia (linda, brianna, yonas) are extremely sql heavy

  • focuses on mathematical and functional analysis

  • weeks 14-19
  • create confidence and foundational knowledge
  • goal is for students to learn 30 words in sql

  • basic queries
  • grouping and aggregating data
  • join, modifying, math functions
  • string functions
