TABLE OF CONTENTS

  • What is conduction?
  • Examples of conduction
  • What is convection?
  • Examples of convection
  • What is radiation?
  • Examples of radiation
  • Comparing conduction,convection,and radiation

WHAT IS CONDUCTION?

  • Conduction is the process of heat transferring from one object touching another

EXAMPLES OF CONDUCTION

  • Grabbing the handle of a hot pan
  • Ironing clothes
  • Walking barefoot on concrete or sand during the summer or when it is really hot outside

WHAT IS CONVECTION?

  • Convection is the process of heat transferring through a liquid or a gas

EXAMPLES OF CONVECTION

  • Boiling water
  • Heat/the temperature in a room
  • The ocean

WHAT IS RADIATION?

  • Radiation is the process of heat transferring through electromagnetic waves which moves through space

EXAMPLES OF RADIATION

  • Warmth from the sun
  • A campfire
  • Opening the oven door

COMPARING CONDUCTION,CONVECTION,AND RADIATION

  • Conduction=is a piece of heat transfer
  • Convection=is a piece of heat transfer
  • Radiation=is a piece of heat transfer
  • They are all alike in that way.
