1. Assess all of the positive outcomes which will come out of an action

2. Assess all of the negative outcomes which will come out of an action

4. Consider other potential actions, measuring the positive and negative outcomes of those

Whichever action creates the most positive outcomes and the least negative outcomes is the correct/right thing to do
