Let me tell you about Colorado's history. The first people to live there were the Native Americans. The U.S. bought Colorado in 1803. They began mapping out the land and searching for gold. That is a little bit of Colorado's history. :)
Where is Colorado located? Colorado is in the western part of the U.S. It has lots of neighbors, Wyoming and New Mexico are just a few. The Rocky Mountains cover half of the state. Did you know where Colorado was located?
Colorado has lots of big cities and landmarks. Colorado's capital is Denver. There are lots of outdoor activities there. There are also memorials in Colorado Springs. Colorado has a ton of national parks that are major landmarks. Now you know more about Colorado landmarks and cities.
Do you know what there is to do in Colorado?
In Colorado you can do a lot of outdoor activities. You can go skiing down the mountains in the winter. You can go hiking in the summer.
You can also go to Art Museums and Operas. Colorado has an amphitheater in Red Rocks Park. There are also a lot of sporting events you can go see.
In Colorado you can also go see the Native American pueblos. Here you can go see where the Native Americans used to live. You can learn all about the Native Americans and their culture. While outside you can check out national parks to go hiking at.
