• After WW2 the US and the Soviet Union were rivals
• It was called the Cold War because there wasn't any fighting
• It was a bunch of spying, and close calls that could've made us actually
• Go to war
• It started in 1947 when George Kennan wrote an article about communism

COLD WAR

• After the article he wrote the two countries became enemies
• Because he was talking about how their communism is not good
• It's battles were fought in the form of the space race,
• Cuban Missile Crisis, The Berlin Wall, The Olympics and the US
• Involvement in Vietnam and other things

COLD WAR

• The Cold War came to an end when the soviets lost power
• Because of the August coup that stopped the communism in the USSR
• It ended in 1991
