1) successfully ended ww2 victoriously 2) came up with Marshall Aid that helped European economies 3) successfully set up the United Nations 4) Fought communism in Korea 1950-1953 and helped keep it out of Greece and Turkey

1) Bay of Pigs 1961 2) Involvement in Vietnam; US supported Ngo Dinh Diem as he oppressed many of his people, then US allowed him to be overthrown and killed
