HOW COCAINE IS PRODUCED
- Coca leaves are chopped up
- Mixed with ammonia and lime
- Store the mixture in barrels with gasoline
- Mix the narcotic element that is extracted with more ammonia
- More gasoline and mor ammonia is added to separate the drug from the mixture

- Water- soluble hydrochloride salt
- Water- insoluble cocaine base

WATER- INSOLUBLE COCAINE BASE
ADMINISTERING COCAINE TO THE BODY
- Inhaling
- Snorting
- Injecting
- Orally
THE HIGH
- User must choose familiar method
- Travels through blood stream to the brain immediately
- Interferes with the brain's neurotransmitters
- After the chemical build up between nerves the cocaine leaves the body
THE ADDICTION
- Dependency on the drug

- The highest rate of cocaine use is between the ages of 18-25
- 75% of the people who use cocaine become addicted to the drug
- In the United States, cocaine use results in about 5,000 to 6,000 deaths annually

- It has effects on society in numerous ways
- Cocaine comes to take over the brain
- As long as there are users there will always be a demand
- Cocaine in my opinion in the worlds most dangerous drug
