STRATUS CLOUDS

  • Stratus clouds are uniform gray clouds that cover the entire sky.
  • There is usually no precipitation from this cloud but some times it drizzles.
  • This cloud is located 6000 feet and below.

CUMULUS CLOUDS

  • Cumulus clouds are puffy and have flat bottoms but tower high.
  • Cumulus clouds are also thunderstorm clouds.
  • They are located at about 1000 feet above sea level.

CIRRUS CLOUDS

  • Cirrus clouds are thin wispy clouds blown into long streamers.
  • They usually mean calm gentle weather.
  • They are found at 20,000 feet in the air.

FOG

  • Fog condensation at cool temperatures.
  • Fog reduces visibility .
  • Fog is located at ground level.

CUMULONIMBUS CLOUDS

  • These clouds have a dark face and a puffy top that extends high.
  • They are only 1000 feet above sea level but they can extend to 39000 feet.
  • Cumulonimbus clouds are major thunderstorm clouds.
