HIGH LEVEL CLOUDS

  • Cirrus - thin and wispy found during clear weather.
  • Cirrostratus - thin and forms a more widespread layer. Can mostly be found during a warm front.
  • Cirrocumulus- these are layered clouds that form in streets or rows in the sky. Thunder is mostly assossiated with this cloud.

MIDLEVEL CLOUDS

  • Altocumulus- These clouds are puffy and grey and you can find them during a summer thunderstorm
  • Altostratus clouds- these clouds cover the whole sky they roll in ahead of a storm brining alot of precipetation.

LOW LEVEL CLOUDS

  • Stratocumulus clouds-they are flat layers of clouds usually grey brining little to no precipetation.
  • Nimbostratus clouds- These are thick dense clouds which can bring heavy rains or snow.

MULTILEVEL CLOUDS

  • Cumulonimbus- vertical towering cloud capable of causing severe weather such as thunderstorms and lightning.
