in ancient Rome, not everyone could wear the same clothes.

Patricians wore togas. The Toga is most commonly made up of expensive, White cotton or wool. Just like the Tunic, the toga can only be worn by someone of a certain title. Patricians are the higher class.

the plebeian's, on the other hand, wore the tunic. the tunic is made out of white wool or linen. this material his heavier and cheaper making is easier for plebeian's to afford. plebeians are the lower class.
