  • What is Cloning?
  • Which type of living species have been cloned?
  • Is it good or bad for the society?
  • How is cloning done?
  • What can go wrong?

  • Cloning is exactly genetic copies of organisms.
  • The DNA is exactly the same.
  • Not so common between mammals- identical twins.
  • Bacteries can also reproduce by cloning.
  • Can also happen in the lab and other animals can be cloned. (Fabian)

HOW DOES CLONING HAPPEN?

  • Two ways of cloning
  • Artificial embryo cloning or..
  • Somatic Cell Nuclear Transfer

CLONING HAS BEEN DONE ON.....

  • Most common- cat, dog, horse, goat, rabbit, fish, mammoth
  • Most of these animals- during 20th century.
  • This is due to the technology that has been improved.

IS IT GOOD FOR THE SOCIETY.?

  • Expensive
  • Crimes
