CONTENT

  • The colosseum is an elliptical amphitheater in the centre of Rome, Italy
  • The arena of Nimes where annual bullfights were held
  • Factors such as wealth and high population densities in cities forced the ancient Romans to discover new architectural solutions of their own.

MOST MEMORABLE

  • The most famous building would be the colosseum
  • It was built to provide entertainment to the citizens of Rome.
  • The colosseum was built in 70 AD.
  • The building's core is constructed of brick and a relatively soft, porous rock called tufa
  • The exterior is clothed in travertine marble, a brilliant white stone

CLOSING

  • I think it's to show power and wealth because it's been around so long.
  • Also because it shows how smart they were because they built things without technology.
