Childhood
- She was encouraged by her parent to study piano
- She studied piano from age 5 and by 1835 was considered a child prodigy
- Her father used the methods in his own book (weick’s piano education for a delicate touch and a singing sound) to teach Clara
- She had to practice 2 hours a day as a kid
- Her father planned out Clara’s whole life at a very early age
